Jean-Léon Gérôme – Pollice Verso – iPhone® Tough Case

Bring the drama of the Roman arena to your iPhone® with this Tough Case featuring Jean-Léon Gérôme’s Pollice Verso.

Painted in 1872, Gérôme’s celebrated scene depicts a victorious gladiator standing over his fallen opponents while looking towards the spectators for their response. Rich architectural detail, gleaming armour, colourful arena textiles and the densely packed crowd create a theatrical image that helped shape later popular visions of ancient Rome and gladiatorial combat.

For the best presentation on a modern phone case, the artwork has been carefully adapted from the original composition for the vertical format and varying camera layouts, while preserving the central gladiator, fallen figures and surrounding arena.

The case combines a rigid polycarbonate outer shell with a shock-absorbing TPU inner liner for durable dual-layer protection. A full-colour wraparound sublimation print carries the artwork across the back and edges while preserving access to ports, buttons and controls.

A distinctive gladiator phone case for admirers of Jean-Léon Gérôme, ancient Rome, classical history, academic painting and museum-inspired art.
